- Seema malaka temple is mainly used for meditation & rest rather than for worshipping. There are three overwater platforms present which are connected to each other and to the mainland by pontoon boardwalks. Ecah platform has a coral-white enclosure with numerous seated Buddha statues.
- Seema malaka temple is built with a blue-tiled roof which is made from collected spindles and banisters with wooden finishes,reflects the architechture of the Kandyan era, the last sovereign kingdom on the island.

- The Northern platform-The Northern platform of this Seema malaka temple is renowned as a 'Treasury of Truth'.Actually this a library where numerous ancient books, medieval and modern Buddhist texts are available but this place is only accessible to the monks visiting the Seema malaka temple.
- The Museum-There is a museum present at the entrance of the Seema malaka temple.Two big rooms are present with some impressive collection of objects. Besides ancient Sanskrit Ola Leaf Manuscripts, Sapphires Ivory carvings, Crystal monstrosities, coins, elephant tusks, Buddha images are present here.

- The Courtyard-In the Courtyard a Bodhi tree present that appears to the emerge from a raised platform.Different sizes of Buddha statues are also available here.In the backside of this Courtyard , a tier present which is stacked with stacks of Buddha statues with different hand gestures, which are imported straightaway from Thailand and close to the Courtyard, a magnificent collection of old & new vintage cars present.

- Public transport-You can take public bus service but here is no website.So, you have to go to the bus station person and get reservation done for yourself.
